Job Title: Engineer Surveyor - Home Based to cover the Hertfordshire area or Southampton area.
Salary: Subject to experience and ability + company vehicle/car allowance + bonus + Pension + 9 Day Working Fortnight + Expenses + Birthday off

Hutcheon Examination Services Limited is a dynamic and expanding company based in Hampshire. HESL provides an extensive range of engineering examination and testing services to a wide variety of industry sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Construction, Marine, Power/Energy, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing & Utilities.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals with a solid engineering background and who wish to further develop their career. The working days are varied and interesting. Based from home, travelling to site to carry out statutory examinations on a wide range of plant and then producing certification at home.
Engineers are required for carrying out high-quality examinations in accordance with LOLER, PUWER & PSSR (CoSHH would be a bonus). The successful candidate must be highly customer focused in order to provide and maintain an excellent standard of customer service.
We welcome both experienced Engineer Surveyors from all mainstream engineering inspection companies and engineers from other engineering sectors. You must have a proven mechanical engineering background. Being familiar with lifting equipment; passenger/goods lifts, cranes & plant and pressure systems along with the ability to carry out load testing and examinations would also be a great benefit although training will be provided.
Ensure examinations are carried out in line with a daily planned schedule. - Produce examination reports using our PRIME reporting system in a professional manner within company service standards. - Build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that customer service standards are met. - Maintain an awareness of British, European & International current standards. - Respond and work flexibly. - Identify possible business opportunities. - Maintain technical standards and participate in technical audits (both internal and external).
Key Skills and Experience:
A solid engineering background is required with recognised engineering qualification(s) i.e. NVQ level 3 or above / ONC / HNC / HND / Degree. Holding a professional status minimum EngTech is required - A current valid U.K. driving licence. - Proven engineering background within a mechanical discipline. - Proven working knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation. - Excellent written & verbal communications skills. - Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work independently but also as a key team member. - IT literate.
